ABOUT JONAJona Wells is an Indianapolis based Podcaster of Indy Women Who Inspire. She is passionate about the work & accomplishments of women in Indiana and was inspired to start the podcast after many years of an annual party she throws with a friend that celebrates local Indianapolis BAD ASS women.
Jona is a 1999 graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and has been a resident of Indianapolis since 2003. Her past career as a Pharmaceutical Representative for both Abbott Laboratories and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for just under 10 years gave her an opportunity to explore the state of Indiana.
Jona is an active volunteer in the community at her children’s schools, Habitat for Humanity and has served on the board of YPO. She lives with her husband Jeff and their three children.
Jona with husband Jeff and their three kids
When I moved to Indiana in 2003 from Chicago, it was a BIG change for me. I came here with my husband, who’s from Carmel, and we’ve spent the last 20 + years raising our three kids and building a life together. Along the way, I’ve learned to LOVE this community and the incredible women who call Indiana home.
This podcast is ALL about celebrating those women, their stories, experiences, and what makes them unique. It’s also a chance for me to explore my own identity, now that life looks a little different. With more time and richer experiences to pull from, I’m excited to rediscover who I am and connect with others doing the same. I’ve always Loved to travel, shop, read , and hang out with friends, but I’m deeply inspired by those who take risks (maybe it’s my entrepreneur husband rubbing off on me!) This podcast feels like a BIG step, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
